Emerging artist Denzel Maple preys on the world's ancient past by modernising momentous figureheads.

A world of rock and roll, thievery, exploitation and debauchery, where greed has trumped creed and belief is replaced by consumerism.

See how these almighty beings have adapted to survive. Join us for opening night of D/O.25 ‘Dirty Deities’ on Thursday February 21st at Disorder Gallery.

Jennifer Hutchison recalibrates the still life in a contemporary context, questioning perceptions of beauty and the tradition of the still life as a female domain.

Her upcoming exhibition is a departure for Hutchison, whose earlier exhibitions turned to the palette of rural life, equally romantic and abstracted. Influenced by the Dutch Golden Age, these paintings are presented on dark fields, romantic and moody. She draws upon the impermanence of life – decay, beauty and bounty.

Hutchison graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art form the National Art School in 2017. She grew up in Regional NSW before moving to Sydney. A sense of open space and palette evocative of that dry rural landscape has become a foundation of her painting, both as a point of reference and point of departure.

Please join us for opening night of D/O.24 Jennifer Hutchison on Thursday January 31st from 6-8pm at Disorder Gallery

If you can’t make it for opening night, Jennifer Hutchison’s work will also be on display during 2019’s very first Sydney East Art Walk .
