Luiza Milewicz - Sublime Light

Sublime Light is an exhibition for the spiritually minded, in which light is presented as sublime through its counter opposite- darkness, to bestow a feeling of wonder using modern LED technology, highlighting the experience of viewing and being immersed.

In extension to the sublime, the show explores sacred geometry as the perceived building blocks of life, where light symbolises the divine presence from which all things are created - from the structure of atoms, to the motions of celestial bodies, to the spectrum of energy waves. With a focus on these concepts and using a range of media, Luiza’s work attempts to visualise the intricate ways in which nature orchestrates itself, harmonising shape, line, colour, and dimension into a diverse array of puzzles and patterns.

Amidst the pervasive technological distractions of our contemporary world, where screens vie for attention, Sublime Light emerges as a deliberate counterbalance where it seeks to address the spiritual void in modern society by reintroducing a sense of harmony and equilibrium. The exhibition invites viewers into Luiza’s introspective and meditative realm, where she explores and contemplates the essence of shapes, patterns, and relationships. It becomes a journey into the mysteries and laws of the universe, prompting reflection not only on the external cosmos but also on one's own existence and spirituality.

“My art is a reflection of the universe's harmonious balance, drawing inspiration from its intricate symmetries and cosmic wonders. From stellar orbits to earthly landscapes, my work embodies the calm aesthetic presence of the cosmos. Combining secular design with spiritual motifs, I explore universal themes of light, symmetry, and connectivity. Each piece is a manifestation of diverse cultural and spiritual traditions, infused with symbolism from cosmology to sacred geometry. As an artist, I serve as a conduit between the earthly and the spiritual realms, seeking to convey the eternal essence of existence. Through intuitive design and meticulous planning, I strive to encapsulate the essence of universal order and beauty. My creations offer glimpses into the timeless and infinite, and while they may not endure indefinitely, they symbolise eternity, bearing witness to the enduring spirit of the universe. I aim to contribute to that eternal narrative.”
