REFORM

D/O.37 Reform showcases artworks that are all colourful, expressionist, interpretations of the world; specifically Sydney, and even more specifically, the inner and inner west suburbs of Sydney.

Graham Eldridge takes snippets of details or a broad topographic view. The idea is then reformed, enhanced and (re)constructed into an abstract expressionist artwork. The results are immediately bold, but when examining the detail you will notice a certain fragility to them. The designs, featuring dominant geometrical forms and minor, at times faint lines and underpainting, also evoke a sense of stillness and calm.

Each of the paintings features Graham's unique approach and style which creates maximum impact from a minimalist style and framework.

Graham is a Sydney based artist who paints large format paintings, typically using acrylic paints and mixed media. Graham's style of art draws from his favourite artists, such as Rothko, Mondrian, and Diebenkorn.
